Donate a dress or shoes, get tips on self defense

Women of all ages can learn some valuable lifesaving skills when they attend “Divas in Defense: A Women’s Self-Defense Class.”

The one and a half hour class, designed for women ages 15 and up of all athletic abilities, will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 beginning at 2 p.m.

The event is a fundraiser for Belle of the Ball, which provides homecoming and prom dresses to financially-needy Tampa Bay area girls. Those attending may bring a gently-worn or new prom or homecoming dress or shoes or pay the suggested donation of $10 - $20.

Participants should wear gym clothes and sneakers.

The class will be held at Grady’s Family MMA located at 16803 US Hwy 19 N, Clearwater.
